About BP
BP is one of the biggest names on UK forecourts, operating around 1,200 stations nationwide. Originally the Anglo-Persian Oil Company founded in 1909, BP has grown into a global energy giant. Its UK fuel network is one of the densest, covering motorways, A-roads and urban centres.
BP's premium range — Ultimate Unleaded and Ultimate Diesel — is designed for drivers who want higher performance and engine-cleaning additives. Ultimate Unleaded is an E5, 97-octane fuel, while standard BP unleaded is the E10 grade required since 2021. Diesel customers can choose between standard B7 and Ultimate Diesel.
BPme Rewards is BP's app-based loyalty programme, replacing the old BPme scheme. Customers earn points on every litre of fuel and in-store purchases at BP-operated M&S shops. BP is also investing heavily in its Pulse EV charging network, with rapid chargers appearing at an increasing number of forecourts.
